Go back in time! Known for its romantic forests with 2000 year-old larch trees, rustic alpine huts and spectacular summits, the Ulten Valley is where tradition is visible and very much alive. The valley with its villages of St Pankratz, St Walburg, St Nikolaus and St Gertraud has a long skiing tradition. The Schwemmalm ski area is used as a training ground for the Alpine Ski World Cup; Dominik Paris, winner of the famous Kitzbühel Downhill, is from Ulten.
